Final Project for NMDE 3D Design

Imagine RIT is a annual event where clubs, majors and individuals get a chance to showcase their work across campus for not just faculty and students but Rochester locals and families as well. This was a final project in my 3D design class my sophomore year. This project tested not only my technical skills in modeling but also making an eye-catching poster as well as time management.
For my poster, I wanted to create a scene where I highlight something older. Imagine RIT looks towards the future, yet I wanted my poster to feel almost nostalgic. To incorporate the idea of imagine and creativity, I wanted a explosion of objects coming out of the head of the robot. I used cool toned lighting to offset the warm tones used in the particles and the body of the robot. There are gears, pencils, confetti and a rocket ship hidden within the explosion as a fun easter egg for the viewer and a nod to the combination of creativity and technology highlighted by Imagine RIT.
